‘Practising belonging & solidarities’

The interdisciplinary program features a collective listening and singing session with Niusha Ramzani ‘𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈?’ to the sounds of revolution from around the world, and with Aliaa Kurdi ‘𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈’ creating zines about our entangled relationships to grandmothers retracing and reshaping the thread that ties us to our ancestors.

Followed by a conversation with the legendary Naya da Souza @bundaskanzlerin on the relevance of self-initiated and self-organized projects that develop artistic methods, strategies, and practices based on the current social, cultural, and political conditions in Germany.

We end the day with Shay’s DJ set inviting us to experience a multi-layered sonic narrative with intentions about the present, reclaiming the past while imagining and manifesting futures yet to come.

Throughout the day, a process-focused video installation by the collective @queeranalogdarkroom will explore the process of analog film developing, an intimate insight of the collectives practice. @becomingothers and @jetphoto members of QAD will be present and photo-document the day.

Accompanying the day @morayaa__ will be sound recording and documenting the sonic textures that emerge from our encounters in the nature-culture site of @floatinguniversity

Warm and cold dishes will be available on site, lovingly and carefully prepared by Niusha Ramzani with her mother and sister, alongside locally brewed beers from @assila.beer Entry is free, with donations warmly welcomed at the door.

This episode is supported by Projektfonds Kulturförderung Friedrichshain Kreuzberg Berlin in collaboration with Queer Analog Darkroom, Aßila Beer and Floating e.V.
